Ashanti Strings are a unique all female group who perform Bollywood Fusion and classical crossover music both nationally and internationally. The group can be either two musicians or two musicians plus dancer or dancers depending on the size or nature of the event. www.ashantistrings.net
Although the brainchild of Lizzy May and Marsha Skinns, Ashanti Strings also uses hand-picked performers for their live shows who have been specially chosen for their abilities to play or dance from a select few who were successfully auditioned to bring their talents to the group. All the performers are successful artists in their own right and have many individual accolades. Having such amazing artists working with Ashanti keeps the performance and delivery fresh and exciting to add sparkle to any event.
Ashanti Strings are extremely experienced, classically trained professional musicians, having spent many years studying our instruments at the country's leading music schools and conservatoires and winning many music awards.
In the last couple of years we have individually performed in 25 countries at many high-end events including performances at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner (both for Andy Murray), a private function for Prince Albert in Monte Carlo and a charity gala for Prince Charles.
We performed 8 times at the Olympic Park during the games and on the main stage at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant event as well as at a lunch for the Queen and the Prime Minister.
We have also individually performed for Royalty and with many famous celebrities such as: Take That, Salim-Sulaiman, Sir Elton John, Rihanna, Russel Watson and Ellie Goulding.
